From Story to Strategy: Turning Ideas into Impact

What follows is the practical side of my work: what I can design, manage, and deliver. These services in communication, cultural projects, and outreach, from exhibition planning to team coordination and project management, were often created together, almost always in synergy, and sometimes shaped by structural constraints, like team size or budget limitations. Most of the time, however, it’s a working philosophy: not only mine, but also shared by most professionals and colleagues, who acknowledge and practice working organically despite organisational frameworks or structural logic.

“Knowing all those ropes” allows me to offer leadership for programmes, teams, and project management, while also stepping in as a team player to support a specific area of a project, task, or programme. Whether it’s shaping a public event, building a content strategy for an institution, or guiding a team through a creative process, my approach is to help ideas travel further. Resources are always limited compared to ambition, so knowing how to move from intention to impact under any condition becomes a crucial skill for success.

Another skill that my years of transversal experience bring is the ability to make collaboration between hands-on practitioners and strategic planners consistently fruitful—so that each project, whatever its scale, meets its goals with purpose and leaves behind something that endures.

Exhibition Development & Curation

When I design an exhibition, I think as much about the people who cross the doors of our museums and science centres as about those who never do. Accessibility is not a checklist; it’s a process, and background matters. People with the right educational tools will enjoy an exhibition differently from those who don’t, and that’s where the real challenge begins. My craft is not only about space and content; it’s also about time.

The more time someone needs to truly access an idea, the more space you occupy; yet the more space people walk through, the more they risk museum fatigue. So the real question becomes how to turn this tension into something creative:

  • How technology can amplify the pleasure of museum visits and, nowadays, extend that experience beyond museum walls.

  • How storytelling can bring more people to complex topics.

  • How science can open doors to art, and art can open hearts to science.

 

It’s also about designing agency so that fear, suspicion, or rejection around difficult subjects fade away. Designing agency is not just about the story we tell, but about who gets to tell it. After years of working with sensitive science topics, ethnographic objects, and even human remains, I’ve learned that the quality of the craft comes as much from the hard skills you bring as a project manager as from the people you bring to the designers’ and storytellers’ table. When you know how to balance time, space, and emotion, you allow every visitor, even the most hesitant one, to step in and stay.

Strategic Event Management

 

As a project manager, designing or managing an event may seem as straightforward as handling a light exhibition; yet my role as a strategic event manager is not to organise well, but to make all the elements, from development to production and finally to execution, work together without anyone noticing most of the effort behind it.

 

The craft is not there to be seen but to serve one thing: your brand identity, your image. It’s about making communication effortless and being at the service of your interaction with your audience.

From European outreach projects with over twenty partner institutions to startup conferences with two hundred participants, my work always starts with people and ends with what they take home in mind and memory.

I help shape the quality of an encounter as much as the quality of the schedule. Whether it’s managing budgets exceeding two million euros or adapting to unexpected turns, I aim for elegance in execution and meaning in outcome.

 

 

Over the years, I’ve learned that the best events are those that leave something behind: a new idea, a conversation that continues, or a bridge between people who might never have met otherwise, while the craft that enabled it all remains unseen.

Communications & Outreach Strategy
When I build a communication or outreach strategy, my goal is to make difficult subjects, science, technology, or environmental policy, feel close and understandable without losing their depth.

It’s about trust first, clarity second. I work on strategies that align content, people, and purpose so that information travels well, across languages, platforms, and audiences.
My experience ranges from coordinating European research partners to working in communication teams through complex campaigns, always balancing creative vision with practical delivery.

I believe communication is a shared act of translation: it starts with the story you tell and ends with how people make sense of it. From thought leadership and social media alignment to content evaluation and impact measurement, my role is to make sure each message carries meaning and consistency.

Managing people, budgets, and priorities is part of that craft; the invisible architecture that allows ideas to move freely and leave a trace where it matters most.

Accessibility & Inclusion Advocacy

This is not really a service; it comes with the craft, which means it’s important that you know about it: it will shape our production.

My work extends to contributing to initiatives that expand participation in cultural and scientific spaces, driven by a commitment to inclusion, equity, and social justice. This includes editorial work amplifying LGBTQ+ voices globally, implementing accessibility improvements in science centres, and supporting decolonisation efforts in museum storytelling. 

My approach focuses on creating tangible frameworks and fostering collaborative environments that dismantle structural barriers, ensuring that cultural and scientific knowledge remains accessible and relevant to all communities. 

I reinforce this through academic research on decolonising cultural narratives, through contributions to publications such as Race and Sociocultural Inclusion in Science Communication (Bristol University Press, 2024), and as a speaker at events such as ECSITE or PAERI.

These experiences have shaped my expertise and strengthened my motivation to go a little above and beyond to expand the reach of every communication or medium I craft.
